ONE BAR AT A TIME

Song of the week...

Unknown Track - Unknown Artist

A remix of a bluesy swing tune all about the humdrum life underprivileged people live daily. Written & recorded by Oscar Brown Junior (1960) having a whinge about what it was like being black in the “land of the free”, especially in the early sixties.
Snuck some pedal steel in for the “Jigsaw Puzzle Blues” lick from the "Joe Venuti/Eddie Lang Blue Five" – 1933, later reprised by Fleetwood Mac in 1968.
May have got confused with vocal line at one stage & used wrong lyric – “humbug blues”!
